Product Identity

SURVIVOR Tyvek mailers are white business envelopes sized at 9 1/2 by 12 1/2 inches and sold in boxes of 100. They serve shippers who need a lightweight yet tough outer layer for documents or small goods. The DuPont™ Tyvek® construction resists punctures, tears and moisture while keeping postal weight low.

Closure Benefit

Each envelope uses a Flap-Stik® self-adhesive strip that seals without moisture and a release strip that allows quick opening. This combination removes the need for tape or wetting and speeds up packing lines for high-volume senders. The secure seal stays intact through rough handling.

Capacity and Limits

The 14-lb Tyvek® material protects flat items such as catalogues, manuscripts or clothing samples up to the envelope’s internal dimensions. Bulky or rigid objects that exceed the flat profile will stress the seams and are not suited to this mailer. Heavy shipments needing rigid protection should use a box instead.

Questions about this item

Will the self-adhesive Flap-Stik closure on these 14-lb Tyvek mailers lose stickiness over time?

The Flap-Stik adhesive is designed for a secure, moisture-free seal; store boxes flat in a cool, dry place to maintain adhesion for the 100-count supply.

What fails first when a fully loaded 9 1/2 x 12 1/2 Tyvek envelope is handled roughly?

The 14-lb DuPont Tyvek material resists punctures and tears, so the self-adhesive flap seal is the most likely point to give way under extreme stress.

Does the Tyvek material trap heat or moisture when packages sit in a delivery truck all day?

The lightweight 14-lb Tyvek is moisture-resistant and breathable, so it does not trap humidity or heat around the contents during extended transit.
