Envelope Size & Style

These #14 regular banker-flap envelopes measure 5 by 11.5 inches and come in a box of 500. The tan kraft stock weighs 28 pounds and features a vellum finish with diagonal seams. A deep flap and heavy remoistening seal gum keep contents secure during transit.

Mailing Volume & Security Needs

High-volume offices that send statements, invoices or cheques will appreciate the sturdy 28# paper and wide seal gum. Operations that require a window for address visibility or a lighter-weight sheet for postage savings should consider a different style.

Paper Weight Decides Durability

The 28# kraft construction is the single specification that determines whether this envelope withstands automated inserting and rough handling. Lighter grades may tear under the same conditions, while heavier stocks add unnecessary cost if machinery is gentle.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 14 size or a different envelope size?

The number 14 is the standard catalogue designation for this 5 by 11.5 inch envelope, so there is no alternative capacity to choose.

What does the 28 pound paper weight mean when the envelope is in use?

At 28 pounds the kraft stock feels substantial, resists tearing during handling and gives the mailer a rigid, professional feel.

How does the remoistening seal perform once the flap is moistened?

The heavy remoistening gum creates a strong, permanent bond that holds the deep banker flap securely through postal processing.
