Compatible refrigerator filter cartridge

The Swift Green SGF-W41 is a replacement water filter cartridge designed for specific refrigerator models. It fits units that use part numbers such as EDR8D1, FILTER 8, 46-9002, 8171413, 8171414, 8171788 and NLC200. It also crosses to AquaFresh WF286 and Aquaris AWF-81 models. Buyers who need a filter for a different refrigerator series cannot use this cartridge.

NSF/ANSI 42 53 certification limits

The cartridge is tested and certified to NSF/ANSI standards 42 and 53 for reduction of chlorine taste and odor, volatile organic compounds, lead, cyst, mercury, asbestos and pharmaceuticals. It does not claim reduction of fluoride, so beneficial minerals remain in the water. The filter uses coconut shell carbon, a renewable resource, as its filtration media. It is not certified for contaminants outside the listed standards.

Installation and replacement checklist

No tools are required to install the SGF-W41; the design aims for a precise, leak-free fit in compatible housings. The manufacturer recommends replacing the cartridge every three to six months for best performance. Before ordering, verify that your refrigerator model appears in the compatibility list above. Households that prefer a filter certified for additional contaminants should check the product data sheet.
