Tarps Direct 10' x 12' Silver Poly Tarp

This heavy-duty silver polyethylene tarp measures ten by twelve feet and weighs six ounces per square yard. It features UV-treated material that blocks one hundred percent of sun rays. Rustproof aluminum grommets are spaced every eighteen inches for secure tie-downs.

Ideal for covering vehicles, firewood.

Homeowners and campers needing waterproof, mildew, and acid-resistant shelter will appreciate the sun-blocking shade. Buyers requiring exact finished dimensions should note the cut size measures six inches or three to five percent shorter than listed. Those needing lighter fabric or different colours must look elsewhere.

11-12 Mil thickness with 6 oz fabric weight

The eleven to twelve mil construction delivers the tear resistance required for prolonged outdoor exposure in rain, snow, or direct sunlight. This specification determines whether the tarp withstands heavy-duty use or if a lighter alternative is sufficient.

Questions about this item

How often will the grommets need replacing on this 10' x 12' tarp?

The rustproof aluminum grommets are spaced every 18 inches and resist corrosion, so they typically last the life of the tarp under normal outdoor use.

What is the first limit this 12 Mil polyethylene sheet hits under constant sun?

The UV-treated silver coating blocks 100 percent of sun rays, preventing the polyethylene from becoming brittle during long-term exposure.

How much heat builds up under the silver surface when it runs all day in direct sunlight?

The silver finish reflects sunlight on both sides, keeping the covered area noticeably cooler than darker tarps during extended daytime use.
