12U Open Frame Server Rack

The TAURKENAM 12U open frame rack holds 19-inch network, AV, and IT equipment in a compact footprint. Its open structure promotes airflow around installed devices while keeping cabling accessible. The unit ships new and includes an adjustable shelf for non-rack-mount gear.

500 lb Weight Capacity on SPCC Steel

The frame is built from SPCC cold-rolled steel rated to support up to 500 lbs of equipment. This single load rating determines whether the rack can handle your planned hardware population. Exceeding it risks structural failure and instability.

Four Casters and Height-Adjustable Shelf

Two braked casters and two swivel casters let you roll the rack into position and lock it securely. The included shelf slides vertically on the rails, so you can create custom spacing for routers, switches, or small appliances that lack rack ears.

Questions about this item

How much equipment can the 500 lb capacity actually hold in a home lab?

The 500 lb rating covers the entire 12U frame, so multiple servers, a UPS and networking gear can be mounted together without exceeding the limit.

What does the 19-inch width mean for mounting my patch panel and switch?

The frame accepts standard 19-inch rack-mount gear, so patch panels, switches and servers with 19-inch ears bolt directly to the threaded rails.

Will the 17.7-inch depth fit a short-depth server and the included shelf?

At 17.7 inches deep the cabinet accommodates shallow servers, and the adjustable shelf can be positioned to support non-rack equipment within the same depth.
