An 8TB M.2 2280 NVMe drive with a heatsink, delivering up to 7000 MBps read and 5900 MBps write over PCIe 4.0 x4
The Team Group MP44Q TM8FFD008T0C101 is an 8TB M.2 2280 internal SSD built for consumer desktops and laptops. It uses QLC memory components and connects through a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface with NVMe 1.4 protocol. A heatsink is included to help manage thermals under load.
The PCIe 4.0 x4 interface caps maximum sequential throughput at up to 7000 MBps read and up to 5900 MBps write. QLC memory and the DRAM-less design with HMB mean sustained write performance can drop once the SLC cache fills during very large transfers. The drive is rated for 4000TB written and 1,600,000 hours MTBF within a 0°C to 70°C operating range.
Moving from a lower-capacity NVMe drive to this 8TB model adds space for large game libraries, media projects and backups in a single slot. The jump is worth it when you need both the capacity and PCIe 4.0 speeds without adding a second drive. Compatibility covers Windows 7 or later and Linux 2.6.33 or later on Intel and AMD platforms.

The 8 TB model gives you 4000 TBW endurance and up to 7000 MBps read with the same QLC architecture and HMB cache. Smaller capacities in the MP44Q line will have lower TBW ratings, so choose based on how much data you plan to write over the drive's life.
That is the peak throughput the controller can deliver over PCIe 4.0 x4 when reading large, contiguous files. Real-world speeds depend on your motherboard's PCIe 4.0 implementation, file sizes, queue depth and thermal conditions, so everyday transfers will often be lower.
Four lanes of PCIe 4.0 cap the theoretical bandwidth near 7000 MBps, matching the drive's rated sequential read. The NVMe 1.4 protocol adds features such as persistent memory regions and improved namespace management, but the lane count remains the hard ceiling for throughput.
