Manual 4-port RJ45 switch

This TeKit switch lets you share a single Ethernet connection among four devices or select one of four sources for a single device. It operates at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps and requires no external power or software. The metal housing measures 13 by 9 by 4 centimetres and weighs 100 grams.

Suits simple manual sharing.

It fits home offices or small labs where only one device needs the link at a time. Buyers who need all four ports active together should look at a powered multi-port switch instead. The mechanical buttons are rated for more than 100000 switching cycles.

Handles one active 1000 Mbps link at a time

The switch passes a single gigabit connection cleanly in either direction. It cannot aggregate bandwidth or run four concurrent 1000 Mbps streams. Each press selects the active path instantly without re-negotiation delays.

Questions about this item

What type of Ethernet cables and RJ45 devices must I already have to connect to the four ports?

You need standard RJ45 Ethernet cables and up to four RJ45 network devices such as computers, routers or 8-wire phone equipment.

Will the 10M, 100M and 1000M speeds of my older network gear still work through this switch?

Yes, the switch passes 10M, 100M and 1000M signals bidirectionally without power or software, so legacy gear operates normally.

How can I confirm the switch is routing traffic correctly after I press a button?

The active port LED lights up when you select A, B, C or D, and connected devices immediately regain network link.
