Industrial-grade NEMA 6-15P plug

The TeKit 6-15P is a straight-blade male plug rated for 15 amps at 250 volts. It suits installers and technicians who need a reliable 2-pole, 3-wire connection for generators, heavy-duty equipment or custom power cords in North American 60 Hz installations.

Nylon housing with brass contacts

A nylon body resists impact, abrasion and chemical exposure while internal wiring chambers isolate each conductor to prevent arcing or flashover. Brass blades and contacts reduce resistance, and a screw-down strain relief locks the cable securely for long-term service.

UL Listed and CSA Certified

The plug carries both UL and CSA safety certifications, confirming compliance with recognised North American standards. No additional accessories or software are bundled; the component is ready for immediate field wiring by qualified personnel.

Questions about this item

What does the NEMA 6-15P plug's 15 A 250 V rating cap in practice?

The 15 A 250 V rating limits continuous draw to 15 amps at 250 volts, suitable for 60 Hz industrial or generator circuits.

What cable diameter range fits the strain relief on this green nylon plug?

The screw-down strain relief accepts standard 2-pole 3-wire cords sized for 15 A service; tighten the clamp until the jacket is held firmly without crushing the conductors.

Which wiring step is most often missed when assembling the NEMA 6-15P connector?

Failing to seat each conductor fully in its isolated wiring chamber before tightening the terminal screws, which can leave strands exposed to arcing.
