TeKit NEMA 6-15R Industrial Cord Connector

This TeKit NEMA 6-15R connector is an industrial-grade straight-blade cord adapter rated at 15 Amp and 250 Volts. It suits installers and technicians who need a durable 2-pole, 3-wire grounding connector for heavy-duty power cords. The red polycarbonate thermoplastic body resists hard impacts and heavy force in demanding environments. It is UL listed with the NEMA configuration and device rating clearly marked on the housing.

15A 250V 60Hz Straight Blade Rating Limits

The connector operates at 60Hz and accepts only NEMA 6-15R compatible straight-blade plugs rated for 15 Amp at 250 Volts. It cannot be used with higher-amperage plugs, locking configurations or different voltage systems. The 2-pole, 3-wire grounding design requires a matching supply cable with the correct conductor count. Exceeding the stated electrical ratings voids the UL listing and creates a safety hazard.

DIY Installation With Polycarbonate Housing

The connector is designed for straightforward do-it-yourself installation onto a suitable power cord. Users must strip conductors to the correct length and secure them under the terminal screws without stray strands. The tough polycarbonate shell requires firm pressure to close fully; incomplete closure can expose live parts. Incorrect wiring polarity or loose terminal screws are the most common faults that lead to overheating or ground-fault trips.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the red 6-15R or another colour for my 250 V circuit?

The red housing is the only colour offered for this NEMA 6-15R connector, so it is the version to select for a 250 V, 15 A circuit.

What does the 15 A rating mean when I wire this connector into my equipment?

It means the connector can safely carry up to 15 amps continuously at 250 V, 60 Hz on a 2-pole, 3-wire grounding circuit.

How does the NEMA 6-15R interface limit what I can plug in?

The NEMA 6-15R straight-blade layout only accepts matching 6-15P plugs, capping the connection at 15 A, 250 V, 60 Hz with grounding.
