Versatile Power Adapter

The TeKit PA-0201 adapter converts a standard NEMA 5-15P plug for use with both NEMA 5-15R and 5-20R outlets. It handles 15A and 20A loads at 125V within a compact, low-profile grey housing. The single-unit design suits travel, office, and home environments. It meets US and Canadian electrical standards for safe operation.

Users Needing Dual Outlet Compatibility

This adapter suits anyone connecting a 15A plug to a 20A T-blade receptacle or a standard 15A socket. It is not for buyers who need more than one outlet from a single input. It does not serve applications requiring voltage conversion or grounding configurations other than the standard three-prong NEMA layout. Users needing permanent wiring or higher voltage ratings should look elsewhere.

20A 125V Rating Decides Fit

The critical specification is the 20A 125V maximum rating on the 5-20R female side. If the connected device draws more than 20 amps or operates above 125 volts, this adapter is unsuitable. The 5-15P male input limits the source to a standard 15A household circuit. Match the adapter to the device nameplate and the circuit breaker rating before use.

Questions about this item

Does the PA-0201 adapter generate heat or draw extra power when used continuously?

The TeKit PA-0201 is a passive electrical adapter with no active components, so it does not consume power or produce measurable heat during continuous operation.

What existing plug or outlet types must I already have for this adapter to work?

You need a standard NEMA 5-15P male plug on your device and access to either a NEMA 5-15R or 5-20R outlet, both rated for 125V.

Will this adapter safely support older 15A equipment plugged into a 20A circuit?

Yes, the PA-0201 accepts a 15A plug and connects to a 20A T-blade outlet at 125V, maintaining the device's original 15A rating without modification.
