TeKit PA0201 Power Adapter

The TeKit PA0201 is a NEMA 6-15P male to 6-15R and 6-20R female combination adapter rated for 15A input at 250V. It enables connection of equipment with 6-15R or 6-20R plugs to a 6-15P power source in North American environments. The low-profile blue housing is built for durable, reliable electrical contact. Supplied as a single unit for travel or permanent installation.

Suitable Use Cases and Limits

This adapter suits users needing to connect 20A-rated devices to a 15A 250V supply where the circuit and wiring support the load. It is not for buyers who require an integrated circuit breaker or GFCI protection. It does not serve installations needing a locking connector or a weather-resistant enclosure. Avoid use where the supply side is not a NEMA 6-15P receptacle.

Critical Specification Decider

The defining specification is the 15A 250V input rating combined with dual 6-15R and 6-20R female outlets supporting up to 20A. This determines whether the adapter matches the source receptacle and the device plug. Verify that the supply circuit can deliver the required current before connecting high-draw equipment.

Questions about this item

Which outlet type should I pick between the 6-15R and 6-20R on this adapter?

The adapter includes a single combo outlet that accepts both NEMA 6-15R and 6-20R plugs, so you simply match the plug on your device without choosing a separate version.

What does the 20 A rating mean when I plug this into a 15 A 250 V circuit?

The 20 A figure is the maximum the female outlet can accept; the adapter itself is rated for 15 A input, so the circuit breaker will limit actual draw to 15 A.

How does the NEMA 6-15P male plug affect what I can connect this to?

The 6-15P male end fits a standard 15 A 250 V receptacle, letting you power equipment with either 6-15R or 6-20R plugs from that outlet type.
