What this adapter does

The TeKit PA0204 converts a NEMA 6-20P 20A 250V male plug to a combination NEMA 6-15R and 6-20R female outlet. It accepts 20A input and supplies either 15A or 20A at 250V for connected equipment. The single-unit silver housing is built for travel, workshop and IT environments.

Check your plug and outlet first

Verify that your source plug is a NEMA 6-20P rated for 20A 250V and that the device you are connecting uses a NEMA 6-15R or 6-20R inlet. The adapter does not change voltage, so the load must be rated for 250V operation. Confirm the circuit breaker matches the 20A input rating before use.

Behaviour under sustained load

The adapter is rated for continuous 20A 250V input with 15A or 20A output, so it maintains stable delivery during extended operation. Its low-profile solid construction resists heat buildup and mechanical stress when powering demanding equipment for long periods. Certified for US and Canada, it meets safety standards for prolonged commercial and residential use.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need any extra cables or plugs?

The package contains one silver adapter that converts a NEMA 6-20P male plug to a combined 6-15R and 6-20R female outlet; no additional cables or plugs are included.

Should I choose the 15 A or 20 A outlet on this adapter for my equipment?

Use the 6-20R outlet for devices drawing up to 20 A and the 6-15R outlet for devices rated at 15 A; both operate at 250 V.

What does the 20 A 250 V rating mean when I plug this into a real circuit?

The adapter passes up to 20 A at 250 V from the 6-20P inlet, so the connected device must not exceed the outlet rating you use — 15 A on the 6-15R side or 20 A on the 6-20R side.
