USA to Italy Plug Adapter

This adapter connects a USA NEMA 5-15R receptacle to an Italy CEI 23-50 or CEI 23-16 plug. It is intended for travellers who need to power American devices from standard Italian wall outlets. The pink moulded housing is built to withstand frequent travel use. Package includes one adapter.

Practical Limits

The adapter does not transform voltage or current; it only changes the physical plug shape. Your device must be capable of operating at the voltage supplied by the Italian outlet, otherwise damage or injury can occur. The unit is rated up to 10A at 125V or 250V depending on the specification referenced. Always verify your equipment matches the local supply before connecting.

Rated Current and Voltage

The decisive specification is the 10A rating combined with the 125V or 250V limit printed on the adapter. If your device draws more than 10A or requires a different voltage than the outlet provides, this adapter is not suitable. Buyers who need voltage conversion or higher current capacity should select a different product.

Questions about this item

Which colour option should I pick for this Italy plug adapter?

The adapter is supplied in pink only, so no colour choice is needed.

What does the 10 A rating mean for my devices?

The adapter handles up to 10 A at 250 V, so any device drawing 10 A or less at the local voltage can be used safely.

Which plug standards does the CEI 23-50 interface cover?

It mates with the Italian CEI 23-50 (formerly CEI 23-16) 10 A wall outlet and accepts a standard USA NEMA 5-15R three-prong plug.
