Three-cable SATA III kit

This pack contains three straight SATA III data cables, each 50 cm or 18 inches long, with locking latches on both ends. They connect motherboards or host controllers to internal Serial ATA hard drives, SSDs and optical drives. The black cables support the SATA 3.0 specification for up to 6 Gbps transfer rates. A three-pack suits builds that need several drives or a RAID array.

Builders adding multiple SATA drives

The cables suit anyone installing several hard drives, SSDs or DVD drives that use the standard SATA interface. The locking latch helps keep connections secure inside a case that may see vibration. Systems that rely only on M.2 or PCIe storage will not need these cables. Buyers who require right-angle connectors for tight routing should look for a different design.

6 Gbps SATA 3.0 rating

The single specification that decides compatibility is the SATA 3.0 rating, which enables up to 6 Gbps data transfer and remains backwards compatible with SATA I and SATA II devices. Actual throughput will depend on the drive and controller used.
