Flexible 12-inch LED strip for 12 V vehicles

The Perfect Part 12-inch strip contains fifteen 3528 SMD LEDs on a 3 mm thick flexible circuit. It is sold in packs of six, twelve or eighteen strips for cars, motorcycles or golf carts. Each unit includes a 9.4-inch power lead with bare red and black wires for direct connection to a 12 V supply.

IP68 rating keeps moisture out during daily driving

The encapsulation meets IP68 waterproof grade so the strip withstands rain, splashes and temporary immersion without ingress. Operating at 12 V DC and 0.1 A, the fifteen LEDs draw minimal current and generate little heat, allowing continuous use without active cooling or audible noise.

Rated lifetime of 30,000 hours under constant 12 V

The 3528 SMD chipset maintains output over extended operation rather than short bursts, so the strip suits permanent underbody or accent installations. No power pack or connectors are included, so the installer must provide a fused 12 V source and observe correct polarity when wiring each strip.

Questions about this item

How do I wire the 12-inch LED strip to my 12 V system without reversing polarity?

Connect the red wire to the positive terminal and the black wire to the negative terminal; no tools are required, but reversing the wires will prevent the strip from lighting.

When will the 3528 SMD LEDs reach the end of their rated 30,000-hour lifespan?

The LEDs are rated for 30,000 hours of operation; after that point brightness will gradually decline and the strip should be replaced.

What is the first limitation I will hit when running these strips continuously at 0.1 A each?

Each 15-LED strip draws 0.1 A at DC 12 V, so the power supply's current capacity is the first limit you will reach when adding multiple strips.
