Purpose & Audience

The Perfect Part LED String Light Purple 12in 15 LED IP68 6 Pack is a set of six waterproof LED strips designed for vehicle accent lighting. Each strip measures 12 inches and contains 15 LEDs driven by 3528 SMD chipsets. The pack suits car and motorcycle owners who want a simple purple glow without complex wiring. It is not for buyers who need a built-in power supply or plug-and-play connectors.

Build Integration

Each strip runs on DC 12V and draws 0.1A, so it connects directly to a 12-volt vehicle system. The 9.4-inch power cord on every unit reaches nearby junction points, while the 3mm profile tucks under fairings or along frame rails. IP68 rating means the strips withstand immersion and road spray without extra sealing. No tools are required, but you must wire red to positive and black to negative yourself.

Sustained Operation

The 3528 SMD LEDs are rated for 30000 hours of continuous use at the specified voltage. Steady 12-volt input keeps output stable across the 150 LEDs in the six-strip pack. Heat remains low because each strip draws minimal current, so brightness does not fade during long rides. The IP68 housing maintains its seal through vibration and temperature cycles.

Questions about this item

How long will the 3528 SMD LEDs last before they dim?

Each strip is rated for 30000 hours of operation before noticeable output loss.

Do these IP68 strips get hot or draw much current when left on all day?

They run at 0.1 A on 12 V, so heat and power draw stay very low even with continuous use.

What power source do I need since no pack or plugs are included?

You must supply your own 12 V DC source and connect the red wire to positive and black to negative.
