12 Inch Waterproof LED Strip Light

This 12 inch waterproof LED strip light operates on DC 12V and contains 15 SMD 3528 LEDs emitting white light. It carries an IP68 rating for full waterproof protection and a rated lifetime of 30000 hours. The strip measures 3mm thick with a 9.4 inch power cord and white wire. Packs of 6, 12 or 18 strips are available.

Suits vehicles and outdoor accents needing 12V

Buyers wanting a 12V white LED strip with IP68 waterproofing for underbody, motorcycle or holiday lighting will find this strip fits. It is not for installations requiring a different voltage, a different colour output or an included power supply and connection plugs. Builders needing longer continuous runs or integrated controllers should look elsewhere.

DC 12V operating voltage

The single specification that decides fitment is the DC 12V operating voltage. The strip draws 0.1A and must be wired directly to a 12V source with correct polarity. No power pack or connection plugs are included in the package. Verify your system provides 12V DC before purchase.

Questions about this item

What DC voltage source is required to power the 12V LED strip light?

The strip operates on DC 12V with a current draw of 0.1A, so a 12-volt DC supply such as a vehicle battery or compatible adapter is needed.

Can the IP68-rated strip be mounted directly alongside older non-waterproof lighting without risk of water ingress?

Yes, the IP68 rating means the strip is fully sealed against dust and continuous immersion, so it will not compromise adjacent older fixtures when installed in wet locations.

How can I verify the 3528 SMD chips are functioning correctly after wiring the red lead to positive and black to negative?

All 15 LEDs on the 30 cm strip should illuminate evenly in white with no flicker, confirming the 30,000-hour rated chips are receiving proper 12V DC power.
