USB Thermal Receipt Printer

TheKidMall TSP143IIIU is a USB thermal receipt printer built for point-of-sale counters. It prints at 250 mm/s, producing up to 43 receipts per minute. A clamshell drop-in design and a patented de-curl function keep paper loading simple and output flat. The unit includes an internal power supply and an extra USB Type-A port for charging a tablet or phone.

Suits single-station POS setups

This model suits retailers or hospitality venues that need one reliable USB printer at a single till. It works with Windows, iOS and Android and requires no driver fuss thanks to a USB serial number feature. Shops that need Ethernet, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity, or operators who must network several printers from one back office, should look at other interfaces.

USB interface with virtual serial port

The decisive specification is the USB connection combined with a virtual serial port enabled through futurePRNT software. That pairing lets Windows recognise the printer on any USB port without manual COM-port assignment. If your POS software or hardware demands a hard-wired serial, Ethernet or wireless link, this USB-only unit will not integrate.

Questions about this item

Does the TSP143IIIU need a separate power brick or does the internal supply run from a standard mains lead?

The printer has an embedded power supply so no external brick is required; just connect the supplied mains cable and the USB link to the host.

Will the USB-A port on the TSP143IIIU charge an older iPad that only draws 10 W?

The extra USB-A connector provides a convenient power source for a tablet or mobile device; it can charge an iPad that accepts 10 W.

How can I confirm the autocutter on the TSP143IIIU is cutting cleanly after the first roll?

Print a test receipt — each receipt should emerge flat thanks to the De-Curl function and be cleanly separated by the autocutter at 250 mm/s.
