A 50 ft CAT6 UTP patch cable with solid twisted pairs, grounded RJ-45 connectors and 550 MHz bandwidth for 10 Gbps networks
This 50 ft CAT6 UTP patch cable uses four individually shielded solid twisted pairs and grounded RJ-45 connectors. It supports transmission frequencies up to 550 MHz and speeds up to 10 Gbps. The cable works with 10, 100 and 1000 Base-T networks. It is sold new in black, white, blue or grey.
The solid conductors and 50 ft length make this cable a good fit for permanent runs between a router, switch or modem and a desktop, NAS or access point. Installers who need stranded conductors for frequent patch-panel moves or who require plenum-rated jackets for air-handling spaces should choose a different cable type.
Because the conductors are solid, the cable maintains its rated 550 MHz bandwidth across the full 50 ft without the high-frequency roll-off that can appear in longer stranded patches. Grounded RJ-45 shells keep common-mode noise low, so sustained 10 Gbps traffic stays clean even when the cable runs parallel to power cords.

Both devices need standard RJ-45 Ethernet ports; the cable uses grounded RJ-45 connectors on each end.
It supports up to 10 Gbps and 550 MHz, so it will not limit a gigabit link; the 100 Mbps switch will simply run at its own speed.
Check the port LEDs on both devices — a solid or blinking light typically indicates an active gigabit link — and confirm the connection speed in your OS network settings.
