Splits a single PCIe 8-pin connector into two 8-pin or 6-pin power leads for graphics cards
This Thinkstar cable splits a single PCI-E 8-pin source into two connectors, each configurable as 8-pin or 6-pin. It allows a power supply with limited native leads to feed two graphics cards or other PCI-E devices. The adapter is sold new and functions as a management card for internal power routing.
Not for systems where the power supply cannot deliver enough total wattage or current for both devices. Avoid if your components require native 12VHPWR or other connectors not provided by this splitter.

The single 8-pin PCIe connector plugs into your power supply's PCIe output to feed two separate graphics-card connectors.
The cable branches into two heads — one 8-pin and one 6-pin — so allow room for both plugs side by side at the graphics card.
