Tiffcofio TF-28016-50 50 ft 14 AWG Outdoor Power Extension Cord

Outdoor power stake with six grounded outlets

This 50 ft extension cord delivers 125 V and 15 A through 14 AWG copper conductors to six grounded outlets mounted on a 12-inch stake. The stake keeps sockets above wet ground while spring-loaded covers shield each outlet from rain and debris. An integrated overload protection switch cuts power during a short circuit or over-current event. ETL listing confirms compliance with recognised safety standards.

Practical limits of a 14 AWG 15 A cord

At 14 AWG the conductors are rated for a continuous 15 A load, which equals 1875 W at 125 V; drawing more will trip the overload switch or overheat the cable. The 50 ft length adds voltage drop under heavy loads, so high-draw tools should run at the shortest practical distance. Spring covers protect the contacts but the cord itself is not submersible and must not lie in standing water. The stake only works in soil firm enough to hold it upright.

Check your setup before ordering

Verify that the total connected load stays below 15 A and 1875 W to avoid nuisance tripping. Confirm the installation area has soil suitable for driving the 12-inch stake and that the cord route avoids pinch points, vehicle traffic and standing water. Ensure the supply receptacle is a grounded 125 V outlet protected by a GFCI as required for outdoor use. The cord terminates in a standard three-prong plug, so no adapter is needed for compatible sockets.
