Compatible iPad Mini Models

This cover fits the 7.9 inch iPad Mini 4 and 5, including model numbers A2124, A2125, A2126, A2133, A1538 and A1550. It is designed specifically for these tablets and is not compatible with other iPad sizes or generations. Buyers who need a case for a different iPad model should look elsewhere.

Pencil Holder and Charging Support

A built-in slot holds the Apple Pencil securely while allowing wireless charging and pairing without removing the cover. The pencil stays attached during transport and is ready for use whenever the cover is opened. Users who prefer to charge the pencil separately or who do not own an Apple Pencil will not benefit from this feature.

Auto Sleep Wake Function

Integrated magnets trigger the tablet's sleep mode when the cover is closed and wake it when opened, conserving battery life during idle periods. The mechanism relies on the iPad's built-in hall sensors and requires no separate power source. Buyers who rarely close their cover or who disable auto-lock in settings will not see any advantage from this function.

Questions about this item

Does the 0.49 lb cover make the iPad Mini 4 or 5 feel heavier during long reading sessions?

At 0.49 lb the floral leather smart cover adds minimal weight, keeping the 7.9 inch tablet light enough for extended one-handed use.

Which Apple Pencil model is required for the built-in holder to support pairing and wireless charging on my iPad Mini 5?

The pencil slot is designed for the Apple Pencil that pairs and charges wirelessly with iPad Mini 5 models A2124, A2125, A2126 and A2133.

Will the auto sleep and wake magnets interfere with the magnetic attachment on my older iPad Mini 4 (A1538 or A1550)?

The built-in magnets align with the iPad Mini 4 and 5 sleep/wake sensors, so the cover works normally without affecting any other magnetic features.
