Pocket-Sized FM/AM Radio

The TINNIK FA298 is a watch-sized FM/AM radio weighing 25 grams and measuring 1.89 in by 1.41 in by 0.7 in. It targets listeners who want a dedicated broadcast receiver without carrying a smartphone. A back clip and lockable buttons make it practical for running, cycling, gardening or travel.

Replaces Phone Streaming

It replaces the habit of streaming radio through a phone when data is limited, battery life is critical or a screen is distracting. The jump is worth it for anyone who wants 7 hours of continuous play from a 400 mAh rechargeable cell and a sleep timer that shuts the unit off automatically at night.

20 Presets and Headphone Antenna

The OLED display shows battery status, clock, timer and 20 preset stations across FM 87.5-108 MHz and AM 522-1710 kHz. Included stereo headphones double as an external antenna for stable reception. Without the headphones plugged in, sensitivity drops and weak stations become noisy.

Questions about this item

What clip or mount does the 25-gram radio use?

A back clip is built into the 1.89 x 1.41 x .7 in body so the unit can be fastened to a waistband or strap.

How do I charge the internal 400 mAh cell and what step is often missed?

Connect the supplied USB cable to a 3.7 V source; the OLED shows the charge level, but the lock button must be off or the radio will not accept a charge.

When will the rechargeable battery need replacement?

The lithium-polymer cell is sealed inside the 25 g chassis and is not user-replaceable; when run-time falls well below 7 hours the whole radio is replaced.
