Extend outdoor Ethernet runs

The TIZOPO HX-062 is an IP68-rated waterproof RJ45 coupler designed to join two Ethernet cables for longer outdoor runs. It suits installers who need a sealed inline connection for holiday lighting, IP security cameras or industrial equipment without replacing existing cable lengths. The pack contains two female-to-female couplers for multiple link points.

Verify cable category and shield needs

Confirm that both cables you plan to join are terminated with standard RJ45 plugs and meet at least Category 5 performance. The coupler’s internal metal shield is grounded through the cable shields, so unshielded patch cords will not benefit from the full shielding effect. Ensure the installation site allows the coupler body to sit clear of standing water despite the IP68 rating.

Replaces inline tape or gel splices

This coupler replaces makeshift field splices that rely on tape, heat-shrink or gel-filled crimps which can degrade over time. The jump is worth it when you need a repeatable, tool-free connection that maintains Category 6 performance up to 1 Gbps and survives permanent outdoor exposure. It is not for buyers who require Power over Ethernet negotiation beyond the cable’s own capability or who need a panel-mount bulkhead fitting.

Questions about this item

Does the pack contain two couplers or do I need to buy a second one separately?

The listing is a 2-pack, so two IP68 Cat6 RJ45 female-to-female couplers are included. No extra couplers are required to join two cables.

Should I choose this Cat6 model or a higher-category coupler for my Cat6a installation?

This coupler meets Category 6 performance and is backward compatible with Cat5e and Cat5, while also accepting Cat7 and Cat8 cables. For a Cat6a run, a Cat6a-rated coupler would be the matching choice.

What does the IP68 rating mean when the coupler is buried in a garden bed?

IP68 indicates the housing is dust-tight and protected against continuous immersion in water, making it suitable for direct burial or permanent outdoor exposure.
