Ready-to-use team radio kit

This six-pack supplies every member with a rechargeable FRS handset, a detachable earpiece and a belt clip so groups can coordinate instantly. No licence is required and the radios work with most other FRS models on the same channels.

FRS limits and weather alerts

The units operate on the 22 FRS channels, each offering 121 privacy codes to reduce interference from nearby users. Built-in NOAA weather channels deliver hazard alerts, while the water-resistant housing and auto power-saving extend field reliability.

Replaces disposable-battery handsets

An 1800 mAh lithium-polymer cell provides up to 72 hours of standby from a three-hour USB charge, removing the cost and waste of alkaline packs. The jump is worthwhile for teams that need multi-day talk time without carrying spare cells.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 6-pack or would a smaller set cover my team?

The package contains six radios, each with 22 FRS channels and 121 privacy codes, so every member of a six-person group gets a dedicated handset without sharing.

What does the 72-hour figure mean when I am actually out hiking?

It represents standby time from a fully charged 1800 mAh Li-polymer cell; active transmit and receive cycles will reduce that, but the battery is rated for three days of typical intermittent use.

Does the FRS band limit the range I can expect in the field?

Yes, FRS operates on licence-free frequencies capped at 2 watts, so practical range varies with terrain but generally stays within a few kilometres.
