  • Product colorMulticolor
  • 20 GB capacity stores portable video projects
  • 4200 RPM spindle balances speed with lower power draw
  • 5 inch form factor fits notebooks and compact devices
  • IDE Ultra ATA/100 interface delivers up to 100 MB/s transfer
  • 1 Gb/in² areal density packs more data per platter

Designed for legacy 2.5" IDE systems

This Toshiba MK2018GAP is a new 20 GB 2.5-inch hard drive spinning at 4200 RPM with an IDE Ultra ATA/100 interface. It suits repairs or upgrades on older notebooks, PDAs, printers, copiers, GPS units or MP3 players that still use a 44-pin IDE connector and need a low-capacity mechanical drive.

Not for high-capacity or modern interface needs

The 20 GB limit and 4200 RPM spindle speed make it unsuitable for users who need more storage space or faster data throughput, and the IDE interface means it cannot connect to systems that only support newer drive standards.

Deciding spec: 20 GB IDE Ultra ATA/100

The combination of 20 GB capacity and the IDE Ultra ATA/100 interface is the single detail that determines compatibility — verify your device accepts a 2.5-inch IDE drive with this exact interface before purchase.
