Dual-band ceiling-mount access point delivering 1350 Mbps combined throughput with MU-MIMO, managed centrally via Omada SDN and powered by PoE
The TP-Link EAP225 is a dual-band wireless access point delivering up to 1350 Mbps combined throughput for business environments. It targets offices, schools and hospitality venues that need centralised Wi-Fi management without a dedicated hardware controller.
A single Ethernet cable supplies both data and power through 802.3af or passive PoE, so no separate mains wiring is required. The package includes mounting brackets for standard 86 mm junction boxes and ceiling surfaces, though installers must verify cable reach before fixing the unit in place.
The single 1 Gbps Ethernet port caps total wireless throughput to wired-network speed, so aggregate client traffic cannot exceed that link. The 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios share the same backhaul, and the device operates only within the 0–40 °C temperature range specified for indoor use.

Use the free EAP Controller Software to view real-time client throughput and run a local speed test from a device connected to each band; the dashboard shows per-band rates so you can verify the 450 Mbps and 867 Mbps figures.
The package includes the EAP225 access point, a passive PoE adapter, a power cord and mounting kits; you only need to provide a Cat5e or better Ethernet cable and a PoE-capable switch or injector if you prefer 802.3af power instead of the bundled adapter.
The single model EAP225 supports both EU and US wall boxes, operates at 10.5 W in the EU, and accepts IEEE 802.3af PoE, so the standard unit covers ceiling mounting and 802.3af power without a separate SKU.
