Wall-plate Wi-Fi 7 access point

The TP-Link EAP775-Wall mounts flush to a wall outlet and delivers tri-band 802.11be connectivity for hotels, offices or dense residential installs. It targets integrators who need a low-profile indoor AP with centralised Omada management.

Tri-band capacity and headroom

Three radios operate on 2.40 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz with a combined 5.63 Gbit/s nominal throughput. Six internal antennas and multi-user MIMO serve many simultaneous clients, but the single 2.5 Gigabit uplink and five 10/100/1000M LAN ports cap sustained wired backhaul well below the wireless peak.

Practical limits of the Wi-Fi 7 interface

Real-world speeds depend on client support for 802.11be, channel width and regulatory power limits on 6 GHz. The 10/100M WAN port restricts internet-side throughput to 100 Mbit/s, so full tri-band wireless capacity is only usable for local traffic between connected devices.

Questions about this item

Will the EAP775-Wall's 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet uplink bottleneck if my existing switch only has 1 Gbps ports?

The 2.5 Gbps WAN port will negotiate down to 1 Gbps with your current switch, so all five LAN ports and the tri-band radios will still operate, just capped at that lower uplink speed.

How can I confirm the 6 GHz radio is active after mounting the EAP775-Wall?

In the Omada controller, check the Radio settings for the 6 GHz band; a green status and connected clients on that band prove the radio is working as intended.

Does the EAP775-Wall box include a PoE injector or do I need to buy one separately?

The package contains the access point, a paintable cover plate and a quick-install guide; power is supplied through the 2.5 Gbps PoE+ port, so a compatible injector or switch must be sourced separately.
