Outdoor 2K security camera

The TP-Link Tapo C310 is a wired or wireless IP camera built for exterior monitoring. It captures 3 MP video at 2304 x 1296 resolution and connects over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Homeowners and small-business operators can view live feeds and recordings through the Tapo app. IP66 weatherproofing allows permanent outdoor mounting in rain or dust.

Sustained outdoor operation

Continuous recording writes 15 fps footage to a microSD card or optional cloud storage without a local recorder. The 850 nm IR LEDs illuminate scenes up to 98 ft (30 m) in total darkness, maintaining visibility through the night. 128 bit AES encryption with SSL/TLS secures the stream during extended sessions. Motion and person detection trigger instant smartphone alerts and can activate the built-in siren automatically.

Flexible mounting and setup

Choose wireless 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi at up to 150 Mbps or a wired Ethernet link for stable bandwidth. The camera draws 9.0 V / 0.6 A from the supplied 100-240 VAC adapter, so an outdoor-rated power outlet is required. A microSD slot accepts local storage cards; without one, only cloud recording is available. Two-way audio lets you speak to visitors, but the siren volume is fixed and may be too loud for close neighbours.

Questions about this item

Does the 9.0 V 0.6 A power adapter make the camera warm or noisy during 24/7 operation?

The camera runs from a 9.0 V 0.6 A adapter with no fan, so it stays silent and produces only minimal warmth during continuous use.

What wireless network must I already have for the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to connect?

A 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n network is required; the camera does not support 5 GHz bands.

Can I keep my existing microSD card for local 2K recording?

Yes, the built-in microSD slot accepts cards up to the camera's supported capacity for 2304 x 1296 footage at 15 fps.
