PCIe network card with two LC multimode fibre ports for 1000BASE-X at 3.3 V
The Transition Networks NGXELC02FC is a 1000BASE-X network interface card designed for PCI Express slots. It uses an LC connector for multimode fibre and operates at 3.3V. The bracket supports both standard and low-profile installations. This card targets federal customers who need a fibre uplink on a PCIe bus.
Two bracket options are supplied so the card fits either a full-height or a low-profile chassis. No extra brackets or adapters are required. The dual-bracket approach simplifies deployment across mixed form factors without separate SKUs. Installers choose the bracket that matches the case at build time.
The 1000BASE-X standard caps the link at 1000 Mbps over multimode fibre with an LC interface. Bandwidth above 1 Gbps is not supported by this card. Distance is constrained by the multimode fibre grade in use. Buyers needing 10 Gbps or single-mode reach must select a different product.

The LC multimode connector should be inspected and cleaned with a fibre-optic cleaning kit whenever link errors appear; the transceiver itself is not a scheduled replacement part.
The PCIe bus and the 1000 Mbps optical link set the hard ceiling; neither can exceed 1000 megabits per second in either direction.
The adapter draws 3.3 V from the PCIe slot and has no onboard fan, so it adds minimal heat inside the chassis.
