12V DC Extension Cable 20ft 2Pack

This pack supplies two 20-foot power extension cables with 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel connectors rated for 12 volt DC devices. The 22 AWG conductors deliver reliable power to compatible security cameras and similar equipment. Each cable includes nail-in clips and cable ties for secure routing along walls or ceilings. The male-to-female design extends existing power leads without tools.

Sustained power delivery over distance

The 22 AWG copper conductors maintain stable voltage across the full 20-foot length during continuous operation. Flat cable construction reduces resistance heating compared with thinner round alternatives under constant load. Weather-resistant insulation protects the conductors from moisture and temperature swings in outdoor installations. Included mounting hardware keeps cables fixed so connections do not loosen over time.

5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel interface limits

The 5521 connector fits only devices with a matching 5.5mm outer diameter and 2.1mm centre pin; other barrel sizes will not mate. Polarity follows the standard centre-positive arrangement, so reversed-pin equipment cannot use these cables. Voltage drop increases with length, so runs beyond 20 feet may require thicker gauge wire. The pack provides two identical cables and cannot mix different lengths.

Questions about this item

Does the 20 ft cable run warm when a 12 V camera draws power continuously?

The 22 AWG conductors are sized for low-voltage DC extension; typical security-camera loads stay well within the cable's current capacity, so heat rise is minimal during all-day operation.

What must the camera or power supply already have for the 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm barrel connectors to mate?

The female jack on the supply and the male plug on the camera both need a 5.5 mm outer diameter and 2.1 mm centre pin — the standard 5521 size used by many CCTV, Eufy and TP-Link Tapo units.

Will the 5521 plug on this cable fit the 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm jack on my older TP-Link Tapo camera?

Yes — the 5521 designation matches a 5.5 mm barrel with a 2.1 mm centre pin, which is the connector used on numerous legacy TP-Link Tapo and similar 12 V security cameras.
