Connects two external battery packs to a compatible UPS with heavy-duty 4 AWG cabling and 175A DC connectors to extend runtime
The 48VDCSPLITTER Y Splitter Cable links two Tripp Lite external battery packs to a compatible UPS system to extend runtime. It is designed for installations that use the non-expandable BP48V24-2U or other select packs specifying compatibility with this cable.
The one-foot assembly uses heavy-duty 4 AWG two-conductor black cabling terminated with three blue 175A DC connectors. Two outputs serve the battery packs while the single input mates with a UPS that specifies the BP48V24-2U pack.
The cable is rated for 48 V DC and 175 A continuous current through each connector. It cannot be used with systems operating at different voltages or with connectors rated below 175 A, and the 30.5 cm length restricts placement to adjacent equipment.

Inspect the heavy-duty 4 AWG cabling and blue 175A DC connectors periodically for wear, corrosion or loose crimps; replace the cable if insulation is damaged or connectors show pitting.
The 175 A DC rating per connector is the primary limit; sustained current above 175 A on any output will overheat the connector before the 4 AWG conductors reach their thermal ceiling.
Expect warm but not hot connectors at rated load; the short one-foot 4 AWG run keeps resistive loss low, so heat stays manageable during continuous operation.
