Ideal for home and small-office networks

This seven-foot green Cat5e patch cable connects computers, routers, switches and other RJ45 devices. Moulded, booted and snagless ends protect the latch during repeated insertions. Stranded conductors keep the lead flexible for routing around desks or through cable trays.

Suits temporary links and patch-panel jumpers

Builders who need a permanent in-wall run should choose solid-core cable rated for that purpose. Installers requiring shielded pairs for noisy environments must look at a different construction. The stranded design is not intended for Power over Ethernet loads beyond the Cat5e standard.

Cat5e rating at 350 MHz

The cable is tested to 350 MHz, supporting the full Cat5e bandwidth for 1 Gbps Ethernet. This single figure determines whether the lead meets the performance needed for the planned network speed.
