Cat 5E patch cable for wired connections

The Tripp Lite N001-015-GN is a Category 5E patch cable designed for standard wired networking. It suits home offices, small businesses or any setup linking a computer, router, switch or network-attached device. The 15 ft length covers typical desk-to-wall or rack-to-rack runs.

Boots and stranded wire ease installation

Molded boots protect the RJ45 connectors from strain while the snagless design prevents the release tabs from catching during routing. Stranded conductors keep the cable flexible for tight bends behind furniture or inside cable-management channels. The green jacket helps colour-code network segments at a glance.

350 MHz bandwidth supports sustained throughput

Rated to 350 MHz, the cable maintains Cat 5E performance over its full length during continuous data transfers such as large file copies or streaming backups. It is not intended for installations requiring Cat 6 or higher specifications, nor for outdoor or plenum-rated runs.

Questions about this item

What speed limit appears first on a 15 ft Cat 5E patch cable under sustained use?

The 350 MHz Cat 5E rating sets the practical bandwidth ceiling for continuous traffic on this length.

Does the green booted snagless stranded cable generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day operation?

Passive copper patch cables produce no noise and negligible heat regardless of duty cycle.

What devices must already have RJ45 ports for this 15 ft green Cat 5E cable to work?

Any two pieces of equipment with standard RJ45 jacks — routers, switches, PCs, printers, NAS units — will connect directly.
