Questions about this item

How do I install the RJ45 connectors on this 3 ft Cat5e cable, and what step do people often get wrong?

Align the tab on each RJ45 plug with the port, push straight in until it clicks, and avoid forcing the cable at an angle which can bend the pins inside the jack.

What maintenance or replacement will this molded Cat5e patch cable need over time?

The molded boots and stranded conductors are built for repeated flexing, so replacement is only needed if the jacket is cut, a connector tab breaks, or you upgrade to a higher category.
