What this cable does

This three-foot Cat6 patch cable links computers, printers, routers, modems and other RJ45 devices at up to 1 Gbps. Gold-plated contacts and 24 AWG stranded conductors rated for 550 MHz keep near-end crosstalk low. The moulded yellow jacket protects the four twisted pairs in home or office runs.

Who should use it and who should not

It suits installers who need a short, flexible Gigabit link between nearby equipment in a rack, on a desk or through a wall plate. Buyers who need longer runs, outdoor-rated jackets, shielded construction or pre-terminated fibre should look at something else.

Behaviour under sustained load

The 550 MHz bandwidth and stranded 24 AWG conductors maintain 1 Gbps throughput during continuous file transfers, streaming or backup jobs without the signal degradation seen in lower-category cables. The moulded strain relief prevents connector fatigue when the cable remains plugged in for months.
