The Tripp Lite N201-001-BK is a one-foot Category 6 UTP patch cable with RJ45 male connectors on both ends. It is rated for 550 MHz and 1 Gbps communication, making it suitable for Gigabit Ethernet links in rack, desk or wall-plate installations. The black PVC jacket uses four-pair stranded conductors for flexible routing.

Snagless boots protect the latch

Moulded boots with integral strain relief cover the RJ45 locking tabs, preventing them from catching or snapping off when the cable is pulled through tight pathways. The snagless design allows repeated insertion and removal without damaging the connector or the port. Stranded conductors tolerate the tight bends common in short patch runs.

Verify port spacing and length

Confirm that a one-foot reach spans the distance between your two RJ45 ports without tension on the connectors. Check that adjacent ports have enough clearance for the moulded boot width, especially in high-density patch panels or switch stacks. Ensure both devices use standard RJ45 jacks compatible with Category 6 wiring.
