A 1 ft Cat6 patch cable with snagless RJ45 connectors for gigabit Ethernet connections
The Tripp Lite N201-001-GY is a 1 ft Cat6 Ethernet patch cable with RJ45 male connectors on both ends. It supports Gigabit speeds for category 6, 5e and 5 networks and features a snagless design to protect locking tabs during installation.
This cable replaces damaged or shorter patch leads in structured cabling runs where a snagless boot prevents connector damage. The jump is worth it when existing cables lack strain relief or when a grey 1 ft length matches the colour-coding and reach required for a specific patch-panel port.
Verify that both endpoints use standard RJ45 jacks and that the 1 ft length spans the distance without tension. Confirm the installation environment suits a grey PVC jacket and that the snagless boot clearance fits the port density of the switch or panel.

At 1 ft this cable suits adjacent ports on the same panel or short cross-connects; measure your exact spacing before ordering.
The moulded boots slide over the RJ45 locking tab — push straight in until the tab clicks, then pull the boot back to release; angling the plug bends the tab.
Replace if the jacket shows kinks, the boot splits, or the tab no longer locks — any of those can drop link speed below gigabit.
