3 ft Cat 6 Patch Cable

This Tripp Lite N201-003-PU is a purple Cat 6 Ethernet cable measuring three feet. It uses molded RJ45 male connectors on both ends for gigabit network links. The snagless boots protect the locking tabs during installation. It suits home and office patching where a short coloured run is needed.

Installers needing colour-coded short runs

The purple jacket helps identify specific connections in a crowded patch panel or desk setup. Buyers who need longer reach, different colours, or outdoor-rated jackets should look at other cable types. This cable is limited to indoor patch use at the stated length.

Cat 6 rating for gigabit speeds

The Cat 6 classification confirms the cable supports gigabit Ethernet performance. That single specification decides whether the part matches the network speed required. No other category rating applies to this model.

Questions about this item

Will this 3 ft Cat 6 cable work with my older Cat 5e router and switch ports?

Yes, the Cat 6 cable is fully backward compatible with Cat 5e equipment and will negotiate the highest speed both ends support.

How can I verify the cable is delivering Gigabit speeds after I plug it in?

Check the link lights on both devices; a solid amber or green LED typically indicates a 1 Gbps connection.

Does the purple cable come with any clips, ties or wall plates, or is it just the cable itself?

Only the 3 ft snagless moulded patch cable with RJ45 male connectors on both ends is included.
