  • White jacket blends into light-coloured walls and cable runs

Seven-foot Cat6 patch cable for short runs

This white Cat6 cable carries gigabit Ethernet over a seven-foot span with moulded RJ-45 plugs on both ends. The stranded UTP construction keeps the cord flexible for desk or patch-panel connections, and the snagless boots protect the release tabs during frequent reconnects.

Replaces shorter or damaged Cat5e cords

If the existing cable is too short for a new desk layout or its locking tab has broken off, this length restores a reliable gigabit link without excess slack. Buyers who need runs longer than seven feet or shielded cable for noisy environments will need a different specification.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the 7 ft cable need behind a patch panel or wall jack?

Allow at least 45 mm behind the jack for the moulded boot and strain relief so the latch can release without bending the conductors.

Which end should be seated first when connecting two RJ45 ports?

Insert the end with the snagless tab protector first, press until the latch clicks, then repeat on the second port to avoid bending the tab.
