Cat6 patch cable for LAN drops

The eight-foot black cable carries data, voice and video between computers, routers, servers, modems, hubs and switches in high-density data centres. It is built to 1000Base-T gigabit Ethernet and 10/100Base-T specifications with 24 AWG four-pair stranded UTP inside a PVC jacket. Gold-plated contacts on the RJ45 plugs resist corrosion and keep signal loss low.

Snagless RJ45 ends protect locking tabs

Short-body connectors with moulded strain relief stop the tabs from snapping during insertions or cable routing. The design adds flexibility at the bend point so the cable and plugs move freely without stressing the terminations. Unshielded twisted-pair construction reduces impedance and structural return loss compared with standard 100 MHz wire.

Rated to 550 MHz for 1 Gbps headroom

The link handles 1000Base-T, 100 Mbps TPDDI, 155 Mbps ATM, ISDN, voice and Token Ring Type 3 traffic without bottlenecks. Near-end crosstalk stays at a minimum across the run. Installations that need shielded cable, longer reach than eight feet or multi-gigabit speeds beyond 1 Gbps will require a different cable type.
