Product Identity

This is a 1 ft Cat6 UTP patch cable with snagless RJ45 connectors on both ends, designed for gigabit Ethernet links between network devices. The slim, moulded construction reduces bulk by over 38 % compared with standard Cat6 cables, making it easier to route in tight spaces.

Who It Suits

Network administrators and home users who need a short, black jumper for patch panels, switch ports, router interfaces or device connections inside a rack or on a desk will find the snagless tabs and slim profile convenient. Installers who require longer horizontal runs, plenum-rated jackets or shielded construction should look at other products.

Deciding Specification

The 1 ft length is the single figure that determines whether this cable fits the intended patch distance; it covers only very short connections such as adjacent ports or equipment on the same shelf.

Questions about this item

What network devices must I already have to use this 1 ft Cat6 cable?

You need two pieces of equipment with RJ45 ports — such as a computer, router, switch, printer or server — to plug each end into.

Will the slim design and snagless connectors fit alongside standard Cat6 cables in my existing patch panel?

Yes, the cable is over 38 % slimmer than standard Cat6 and the snagless RJ45 connectors prevent tab damage in crowded panels.

How can I verify the link is running at gigabit speed after I connect the cable?

Check the link lights on both ports; a steady or blinking amber/green indicator typically shows a 1 Gbps connection.
