Slim Cat6 cable for dense racks

This 15 ft gray Cat6 UTP patch cord uses moulded RJ45 male connectors on both ends. The slim profile is over 38% thinner than standard Cat6 cables, which improves airflow and eases routing in crowded racks or panels. Snagless boots protect the locking tabs during installation and removal. It is rated for 1 Gbps Gigabit Ethernet links.

Installers who need space-saving patch leads

Suits network technicians, server-room builders and home-lab owners who run many cables through tight cable-management channels. The reduced diameter simplifies bundling and corner routing. Buyers who require shielded construction, outdoor-rated jackets or lengths beyond 15 ft should look at other cable types.

15 ft length sets the reach limit

At 15 ft the cord covers typical rack-to-rack or device-to-switch hops within a single cabinet. Longer runs will need a different length. The Cat6 UTP rating supports 1 Gbps operation over this distance.

Questions about this item

Which length should I choose for a standard desk-to-switch run?

The cable is supplied at 15 ft, which covers most desk-to-switch or patch-panel distances without excess slack.

What does the Cat6 1 Gbps rating mean for everyday use?

It supports full gigabit Ethernet throughput, so file transfers, streaming and backups run at the speed your router and NIC allow.

How does the slim profile affect installation in a crowded rack?

At over 38 % slimmer than standard Cat6, it bends easily around corners and leaves more airflow space in dense 45 U cabinets.
