  • Shielded construction reduces signal interference
  • Slim profile improves airflow by 38%
  • PoE support powers compatible devices without extra supplies

Purpose-built 1 ft Cat6a patch cord

This 1 ft Cat6a shielded cable connects network devices, servers, switches, routers, hubs, printers, computers and PoE equipment in high-density racks and closets. It carries 10 Gigabit Ethernet and Power over Ethernet on a single run. The slim profile reduces clutter and improves airflow in tight spaces.

Suited for short rack links, not long runs

Installers who need a 1 ft yellow jumper for patch panels, PoE cameras or access points will appreciate the snagless boots and 38 % smaller diameter. Builders who need longer horizontal runs, outdoor rating or non-shielded cable should look at a different product.

Shielded Cat6a with PoE support

The single specification that decides fit is the shielded Category 6a construction rated for 10 Gbps and PoE. If your link requires STP Cat6a at this length, the cable matches; if you need UTP, a different category or a longer reach, it does not.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 1 ft or 0.3 m length for my rack?

Both refer to the same cable; 1 ft equals 0.3 m, so choose the unit you prefer.

What does the 10G label mean once the cable is plugged in?

It supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet speeds over the full 1 ft run when used with 10G-capable ports.

How does the shielded Cat6a construction affect PoE and crosstalk?

The STP shielding reduces alien crosstalk and allows Power over Ethernet up to the standard limits for Cat6a.
