Orange duplex fiber patch cable with LC and ST connectors, three metres long

Tripp Lite

Tripp Lite N318-03M duplex multimode 62.5/125 fiber patch cable LC/ST 3 m

SKU CH-J0JM-9EP5Z

A 3-meter duplex multimode patch cable with LC and ST connectors for 62.5/125 micron fiber networks

  • Duplex design doubles bandwidth with two fibers
  • 3 m length fits rack-to-rack connections
  • 5/125 µm core matches legacy multimode systems
  • LC to ST connectors join dissimilar equipment ports
  • OFNR-rated PVC jacket meets riser fire codes

What This Cable Connects

This duplex multimode patch cable links LC and ST ports over a three-metre run. The 62.5/125 micron zipcord fibre carries LAN traffic with FDDI and OFNR ratings. A PVC jacket protects the fibre in standard indoor installations. Both ends are factory polished for low insertion loss.

Who Should Use This Link

Installers joining legacy ST equipment to newer LC patch panels will find the correct connectors here. The ten-foot length suits rack-to-rack or wall-box connections within a single cabinet. Buyers who need single-mode fibre, different connector types, or longer campus runs should select another cable.

Deciding Specification

The 62.5/125 micron core diameter determines compatibility with existing multimode infrastructure. Matching this figure to the installed cable plant is the only way to ensure the link will operate as designed.

Questions about this item

Which transceivers or network ports do I need to have in place before this LC/ST patch cable will connect?

You need one device with an LC multi-mode port and another with an ST multi-mode port, both supporting 62.5/125 µm fibre.

Will this 3-metre duplex cable work with the older 62.5/125 µm multimode links already installed in my rack?

Yes, the cable uses the same 62.5/125 µm zipcord fibre and FDDI-rated OFNR jacket as legacy LAN runs.

How can I confirm the N318-03M is passing traffic correctly after I plug it in?

Check that the link LEDs on both transceivers light solid green and verify error-free throughput with a ping or traffic generator test.
