What the cable does

This Tripp Lite P313-001 is a 12-inch Y-adapter that splits one 3.5 mm stereo output into two 3.5 mm stereo inputs. It lets two headsets share the same audio source from a computer, MP3 player or similar device. The fully-molded black construction protects the connections and keeps the short cable tidy.

What to verify on your device

Confirm that your audio source provides a single 3.5 mm stereo output jack and that both headsets use standard 3.5 mm stereo plugs. The adapter carries an analog stereo signal only; it does not combine microphones or support balanced connections. Ensure the 12-inch length reaches between your source and the listening position without strain.

What the moulded build changes

The fully-molded strain relief reduces cable fatigue at the connectors during frequent plugging and unplugging. A compact 12-inch tail keeps cable clutter low on a desk or in a portable bag. RoHS-compliant materials meet restricted-substance requirements for safer disposal.

Questions about this item

Does the package contain two headphones or just the splitter cable?

Only the Y-adapter cable is included; two headsets must be supplied separately.

Are there different length or colour options for this model?

The P313-001 is offered only in black with a 12-inch length.

Will plugging two headsets into my phone reduce the volume noticeably?

The splitter divides the stereo signal into two outputs, so each headset receives the same signal level.
