Vibrant RGB extension cables

The Tripp Lite RGB-03 set adds addressable lighting to a PC build with a 24-pin ATX cable carrying 80 LEDs and a 12VHPWR cable carrying 81 LEDs. Both cables are RoHS compliant and covered in soft PVC for easier routing inside compact cases. They connect to a 5 V ARGB header or a 3-pin LED port on the motherboard for software control.

Build integration and clearance

The 24-pin ATX extension plugs between the power supply and motherboard while the 16-pin male to dual 8-pin female GPU cable adapts an existing PSU without a native 12VHPWR connector. Daisy-chaining through the 5 V header lets the cables share a single motherboard ARGB channel with other devices. The flexible silicone tubing reduces strain when bending around tight corners.

Power headroom and compatibility limits

The 16 AWG conductors on the GPU cable support up to 600 W output for cards such as the RTX 4070 Ti, 4080, 5070 and 5080. The set is not recommended for the RTX 4090 or 5090 because the dual 8-pin adapter cannot guarantee sufficient power delivery for those models. No other GPU or motherboard power configurations are addressed by this kit.
