Line-interactive UPS delivers 500VA and 300W with automatic voltage regulation, seven outlets, USB, serial and optional network management in a 1U rackmount chassis
The Tripp Lite SmartPro SMART500RT1UTAA provides 500VA and 300W of battery backup in a 1U rackmount chassis. It accepts a NEMA 5-15P input and delivers 120V 60Hz output through six UPS outlets and one surge-only outlet. The unit is TAA compliant and tested to UL1778, CSA and NOM standards.
At full 300W load the internal valve regulated lead acid battery sustains output for 3.2 minutes. At half load of 150W the runtime extends to 14.6 minutes. Recharge from 10% to 90% completes in under four hours, and the replaceable battery cartridge is model RBC62-1U.
Connectivity includes USB with HID support, DB9 serial, an emergency power off port and an open slot for an SNMP or web management card. PowerAlert software enables monitoring and automated shutdown. Audible alarms signal power failure, overload and low battery conditions.

The unit uses an audible alarm rather than a continuous fan to signal power-failure, overload and low-battery conditions.
The UPS ships with a NEMA 5-15P input cord; the six UPS outlets and one surge-only outlet accept standard NEMA 5-15 plugs, and a USB cable is needed for PowerAlert software.
Only one communication port can be used at a time; choose USB for HID support or DB9 for serial monitoring, and add an SNMP card in the option slot for network management.
