Tripp Lite 3U Security Cage

The Tripp Lite SR3UCAGEREAR is a 3U security cage that mounts at the rear of a standard server rack. It provides a locked enclosure for equipment that must stay inside the cabinet. The unit is finished in black and ships new.

Installers needing rear-mount physical security

This cage suits administrators who want to restrict access to rack-mounted devices from the back of the cabinet. It does not serve installations that require a full-depth enclosure or front-door access. Buyers needing adjustable depth rails or integrated cooling should look at other solutions.

Fixed 3U rear-mount form factor

The cage occupies exactly three rack units and uses a fixed standoff design for rear mounting. This dimension determines whether the part fits the available space in your rack. Verify the 3U allocation before ordering.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the SR3UCAGEREAR cage is correctly installed?

The black 3U security cage mounts to the rear of a standard rack using fixed standoffs; once the screws are fully seated the cage should sit flush and not shift when pressed.

What components are included with the SR3UCAGEREAR and what must I supply?

The package contains the 3U rear security cage itself; mounting screws and any shelf or equipment brackets are not included and must be purchased separately.

Which capacity or version of the Tripp Lite security cage should I choose?

The model listed is the 3U rear-mount version; select this unit when you need exactly three rack units of rear protection and choose a different height if your equipment requires more or fewer units.
