Roof Mount Fan Panel

The Tripp Lite SRFANROOF is a roof-mounted fan panel designed to increase ventilation inside compatible SmartRack enclosures. It integrates six 120V exhaust fans into a single panel and includes a six-foot power cord for connection to a standard outlet. Toolless mounting hardware is supplied for straightforward installation.

Upgrading Passive or Underventilated Cabinets

This panel replaces a solid roof or a lower-capacity fan tray when internal equipment generates more heat than passive airflow can remove. The jump is worth it when rack temperatures rise above safe operating limits during sustained loads and additional active exhaust is required to maintain stability.

Limits of 120V Corded Exhaust Cooling

The unit relies on a single 120V mains connection, so total airflow is fixed by the six integrated fans and cannot be expanded without adding another powered panel. It provides exhaust only, so a source of cool intake air must already exist in the room or cabinet. The programmable feature allows control but does not override the physical airflow ceiling of the installed fans.
